At the start of October half term, nineteen Business Studies students visited Brussels to experience a range of visits to different types of organisations.

A highlight was the European Parliament where the students took on the roles of MEPs and debated various issues affecting businesses, both in UK and in Europe. Students engaged with this interactive role play game and came away discussing some very pressing issues.

In addition, they visited the National Bank of Belgium where physical cash is still printed (but not for much longer). During this visit they discussed the pros and cons of a single currency for businesses and it was clear there were differing views!

Other visits included the Cantillon brewery, a small family brewery tucked away in the side streets, the atomium (where they experienced amazing views of the city and beyond, Concept Chocolate (a small independent chocolate factory where many gifts were bought) and the European Commision.

The students were a credit to themselves and to Fallibroome and a good time was had by all.
