The PE curriculum is a balanced mixture of individual and team activities. In years 7 to 9, all PE lessons are taught in single gender classes and students follow a set programme of activities. The activities are revisited each year in Key Stage 3, thus allowing the students to develop their skills as they move through the school.

The five strands of assessment students are assessed in:

  • Developing skills in physical activity
  • Making and applying decisions
  • Evaluate and improve performances
  • Developing physical and mental capacity
  • Making informed choices about healthy lifestyles

Each student will review their progress across these five strands twice yearly.
