Dominic Macdonald, Producer of the CBBC show ‘4 O’Clock Club’ wrote to Mr Power this week to acknowledge the influence of the acclaimed ‘First Day at Fallibroome’ film on an episode of his TV programme called ‘Film’ which airs this afternoon at 5pm on CBBC. The show will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer after this.

Mr Mcdonald said the following:

For the last 4 years I have been the producer of 4 O’clock Club, a kids TV show on CBBC based in a very run down secondary school. Last year I had the pleasure of seeing your wonderful school video and it inspired the writing of one of the episodes for the new series. That episode is transmitting on CBBC tomorrow afternoon at 5pm – it’s called Film.  It’ll be available on iPlayer after that. Needless to say in the story the school video is a complete disaster whereas yours was a triumph!
I’m just about to start a new job for the BBC but I wanted to acknowledge our debt to you for your inspiration. Thank you.

What a wonderful message and a testimony to all the hard work put into making the film.
