A coachload of excited Fallibroome pupils, accompanied by Frau Smith, Mr Jones and Mr Watson set off after the gates had closed on the last day of term, and travelled via ferry and Belgian chocolate factory to the beautiful riverside town of Cochem in the Moselle Valley. We enjoyed five days of experiences, which were both fun and informative.

Yet again it proved to be fantastic, why else do pupils like to return for more year on year? One such pupil is Rosanna Faulkner (Year 9), who has spent her last two birthdays on the trip!

Rosanna said:

“I really enjoyed it because the theme parks were really fun and in general it was just amazing. I liked having my birthday on the trip and didn’t feel homesick which was good. The rooms were also good. I liked the boat trip down the river to see the gorgeous views and the journey there and back both years were fine as well. One of my favourite school trips and I wish I could go on it next year too.”

Lauren Smith (Y9) also wrote:

“I especially enjoyed both theme parks, as one was a water park as well as a Zoo, which included small but very fun rides whereas the other had bigger rides and better food places. Also, I loved the Belgian chocolate factory as the chocolate was amazing and I definitely recommend buying some chocolate or an ice cream there, as it is a great stop on the way. Finally, I found the treasure hunt a great experience as we had to use some of our German and it was really fun to find all of the different things on the list.”

Applications for next July’s trip are currently available from Mrs Smith A15 or Mrs Haigh in the main office.
