Sixth Form students kindly volunteered their time to deliver a Social Media Workshop training session to members of The Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle. Training included, a detailed step-by-step guide presentation and handout, including practical help on setting up and using Twitter and Facebook. The Rotary are hoping this new focus on social media will help raise their profile and promote the great work they do for the local community.

Rotary President Keith Dobson said: ‘Thank you to the students and to Fallibroome Academy. I’m sure Ofsted would have graded the session delivered by the students as ‘Outstanding’. Look out for our Tweets about our Rotary activities supporting the local community’.

Headteacher Mr Power said: ‘We work very closely with the Rotary Club and our students have really benefited from the support that they offer. As a result, we were delighted to be able to return the favour by asking some of our Sixth Form students to help them to develop their awareness of various social media platforms. I know from Mr Dobson that our students did a great job in delivering this training and we will all keep a look out for tweets and other social media posts from the Rotary Club in future.’
