Applying to Fallibroome Academy Sixth Form

There are several important steps to applying for a place at Fallibroome Academy Sixth Form.

Applications are open in the spring term of each year.

You initially make a provisional application which is completed via an online form. You will be sent the link and password to this form.

The provisional application form will ask for personal and contact information, details of the GCSE courses currently being studied, what courses you would like to study in Sixth Form and your plans for the future.

You will then be invited to an Information, Advice and Guidance meeting (IAG) to discuss your options, anything that arises from your application and answer any questions that you may have.

On the basis of this interview and your predicted GCSE grades you will be made either a firm offer of a place or an offer with the suggestion of a “back up” option.

From the provisional applications, option blocks will be drawn up and you will be asked to make a final application. Again, this will be an online form and you will be sent all the appropriate details.

During the whole process you will need to refer to:

  • the overall entry criteria for the Sixth Form; and
  • the individual subject entry criteria.

All of this can be found on this section of the website.

After receiving your GCSE grades in August, if you are successful in meeting our entry criteria, you will be asked to complete another online form, confirming your final subject choices. You will receive confirmation of your place between two to three days of submitting this final form.

You are then ready to start the new term!
