We live in a society that is powered by technology relying on electronic circuits. A day will not go by where every individual will have some contact with an electronic device – everything from the mobile phone in your pocket to the car driving down the road to the monitor that you are reading this on.
In your Electronics lessons you will be learning how to design and build electronic circuits that can control anything from a model car to the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank!
Students will learn about a variety of components, learn how to program microchips, and design circuits that can solve a problem. Students are encouraged to use their imagination to creatively solve a brief and are challenged to stretch their theoretical understanding through the many practical sessions. We also encourage students to get involved in a variety of national competitions which I advertise throughout the school year.
You will be able to find all sorts of information that will help you with your studies and revision for exams within this section of the website. Remember to keep checking back as new information is added all of the time.
