For the first time in Fallibroome’s history, fifteen students and two members of staff travelled to Russia, during the centenary of the revolution.

We visited the Winter Palace and the Hermitage to take in the breath taking architecture and artwork, and the Peter and Paul Fortress which is the last resting place of the Romanov royal family.

We explored Kronstadt, home of the Russian Baltic fleet and the place where the revolutionary sailors made a stand against the Bolsheviks. We toured the museum of political history and stood in Lenin’s office. We visited the main shopping street, the Nevsky Prospekt and tried our basic Russian on all who were prepared to listen!

It was an amazing experience visiting the ‘Venice of the North’. Fallibroome students, once again, proved to be fine ambassadors for our school in a very different, but enjoyable, environment.
