On the 7th October this year, Year 7 will be going on a residential trip to the Pioneer Activity Centre (www.acuk.net/pioneer-centre) in Shropshire for three days / two nights. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen the transition process that we currently have at Fallibroome, in order to ensure that your son or daughter gets the most out of their time at our school, as quickly as possible. Ultimately, the trip is about team building, making new friends and strengthening social bonds in new form groups. There will also be lots of opportunities to take part in activities such as orienteering, fencing and building campfires to name but a few! All activities will be led by qualified instructors. The students will also be accompanied by Fallibroome staff and senior teachers.

The price of the trip will be £165 which includes travel, accommodation and meals. We will be sending a google form to you at a later stage requesting more information from you with respect to special requirements, dietary, allergies etc.

To confirm your child’s place on the trip please complete the attached slips and return with payment as per the payment plan detailed below. If you do not wish your child to take up this opportunity please return the first slip ticking the appropriate box so we can make alternative arrangements for those students who remain in school.

The payment instalment dates are:

  • £65 deposit by Friday, 7th June, 2019
  • £50 second instalment by Friday, 12th July, 2019
  • £50 final payment by Friday 13th September 2019

Payment can be made by the following methods:

  • Cheques made payable to ‘The Fallibroome Academy’ and sent to our Finance Office at the school address.
  • Cash dropped into the school reception – please ask for a receipt.
  • Online through our online payment system – Wisepay. You will shortly be sent log-on details to access your child’s Wisepay account

For parents who are currently receiving State Benefits there is a possibility of financial support. If you wish to be considered, please apply in writing and include a copy of your current benefit award/statement, no later than Friday 7th June, 2019, to Mrs Sarah Haigh (ku.gr1558710406o.emo1558710406orbil1558710406laf@i1558710406ah1558710406). Awards will be made in proportion to the number of applicants and the funds available.

If, for whatever reason, your child does not take their place at Fallibroome in September, all deposits and monies paid will be refunded. If your child has decided not to take their place at Fallibroome, please let us know so we can offer this opportunity to the next family on the list.
